Out of the Flames
We have recently had the honour of working with an incredible local charity that creates opportunities for early intervention with young people in our local area of Hart in Hampshire. Fleet Phoenix works hard to breakdown barriers and empower the community to thrive by coordinating music projects, youth clubs and mentoring projects as well as community outreach programmes to the young people of rural and urban Hart district.
Fleet Phoenix needed a strategy that would bring their brand to life whilst making it appealing to the young people who use the service and the supporters who fund it.
We aimed for a distinctive brand positioning that would emphasise its fun, warmth and youthful brand ethos but also its promise to supporters to be an impactful organisation and responsible stewards.
The Brand Strategy and Visual Identity
The first step in the development of this new brand strategy, was to define the organisation's target audience, objectives and concerns.
We created the brand promise, values and essence and a definitive positioning for the organisation was articulated. These, put together, formed the foundation of all the design and creative concepts that we presented to Fleet Phoenix including logo ideas, colour palettes, typography and imagery.
The universally most loved graphic was, with a few tweaks, one of our first creatives. Added to that a clean and crisp typography helped to bring together the new brand essence of Fleet Phoenix. It's bright, vibrant and fluid which accurately reflects the organisation and how it works.
We prepared a concise brand guidelines document to help the organisation with the future use of the brand enabling all the staff to understand and apply the new guidelines easily.
We then extended this new brand, look and feel across all the organisation's graphic and digital applications including stationery, signature style, signage, promotional elements, and finally design and built a new website to really show off the organisation's true potential.
The work for Fleet Phoenix has received a lot of positive feedback from clients, stakeholders, and the local community and sets the organisation up perfectly to support their ten year anniversary activities in September of this year.
And the biggest result for us was the huge sense of satisfaction bringing an awesome organisation out of the flames and into the conversation.
